Fort Worth
Barton's Garage - 10/10
1615 W. Jefferson
Ft. Worth, TX 76110
(817) 923-6756 "Harold Barton is the 2nd generation owner of this shop following his father's
footsteps. He is a great mechanic who does great work. He is not the
cheapest in town, but he does the best work I have ever seen. I believe you
get what you pay for. My Grandfather used his father's services before him
and when his father passed on Harold took over the business. On a scale of
1-10, I would definately rate his work and job performance a 10.

Houston
M.P. Motorsports- 7/10
Katy, TX (just west of Houston)
(832)-4x4-JEEP "M.P. (Mike Pickel) He is a local fabricator that builds bumpers, rock
sliders, or anything else you can make with metal. He can also install
gears and lockers. If you break or bend anything built by him, he will fix
it or start over. He does meticluous work, but plan on him taking a while
to finish your work."

United Transmission - ?/10
Westheimer @ Stoney Brook, near Voss "I would not recommend United Transmission. My transmission was not fixed
properly, thus resulting in large tow truck bills and rental car fees. It
took the shop 3 different times to get it only mildly working well. They do
not speak English well and will not know what you are talking about if you
ask a question. They do not do good work. They do not do it on time. And
they charge too much."

The Shop - ?/10
430 Perkins
League City, TX 77573 (a few miles east of Houston)
281 332-7911 "They have been in business as long as I
can remember. Ken, the owner, is always on hand. They even have a some
trails and hills on the property as a proving ground. When you get work
done there you get to make sure it's working the way you thought it would
before you leave. He is also a big supporter of local 4x4 activities.
